Roosterfish run from April to October, working the beaches and reefs close to shore. The same water holds snapper, which bite all year, and small tuna. Inshore trips are usually a half day, so the rest of your day stays free.
4 depart Cabo San Lucas as half-day trips, and 5 depart San José del Cabo as one 6-7 hour trip. Every price includes the captain and crew, tackle, bait when available, ice and water, a fishing licence, dock fees and tax. The tip for the crew is separate, and 15-20% is standard in Cabo. What is included in the price?
Every boat price is for the whole boat, all-in: captain and crew, rods, reels and tackle, one Mexican fishing licence, dock and marina fees, ice and bottled water, fresh or live bait when available, and all taxes. The tip for the crew is separate; 15-20% is standard in Cabo.
How does booking work?
Pick a boat, a date and half or full day, then book online. Trips over $500 take a $500 deposit and the balance is settled before the trip; trips under that are paid in full. Your captain confirms the departure time and dock once the date is booked. More than 72 hours before your trip: 75% refund. From 48 to 72 hours before: 50% refund. Under 48 hours, a no-show, arriving late, seasickness or heading back early: no refund. If the port is closed, or the captain or tour team cancels for weather or safety, we move you to a new date. If no new date works for you, you get a full refund. Light rain or choppy water that the captain calls safe is not a cancellation.
