Why buy in Cabo
A home that earns its keep
Full foreign ownership, a proven rental market, and a community people put down roots in. Here is what makes Los Cabos different.
You can fully own it
Through a fideicomiso bank trust, foreigners hold full rights to use, rent, sell, and pass on coastal property. The structure is government regulated and used by tens of thousands of owners.
It can pay for itself
Plug your home into cabo.la's existing rental network. Many owners use the home a few weeks a year and let the rest of the calendar work for them, with quarterly reporting.
We handle the hard parts
Fideicomiso setup, the notario closing, the RFC tax ID, and on-the-ground management. We make the introductions to every party and stay on through the close.

What buyers ask
Buying in Cabo, answered
Can foreigners actually buy property in Cabo?
Yes. Through a fideicomiso (bank trust), foreigners can fully own coastal property in Cabo. It's a government-regulated structure used by tens of thousands of Americans and Canadians — your name appears on the trust, the bank acts as legal titleholder, and you have full rights to use, rent, sell, or pass the home to heirs.
What does a typical Cabo home cost?
Entry-level luxury starts around $1.5M in Puerto Los Cabos. Established Corridor neighborhoods (Palmilla, El Dorado, Cabo del Sol) start in the $3–4M range. Larger oceanfront estates trade at $8M+, and the very top of the market reaches $35M.
Which community is right for me?
Depends on what you're optimizing for. Want a swimmable beach? Palmilla or Chileno Bay. Walking distance to the marina? Pedregal. Maximum privacy? Querencia. Best upside? Diamante. Boating + Mexican culture? Puerto Los Cabos. We'll narrow it down once we know how you'll actually use the home.
How does the closing process work?
Once you accept an offer: due diligence (2–3 weeks), fideicomiso setup with a Mexican bank (2–4 weeks), closing at the notario (1 day). Total timeline is typically 60–90 days. Closing costs run ~5–6% of purchase price, and you'll need a Mexican tax ID (RFC). We handle the introductions to every party.
What about property management while I'm away?
We handle it. Guest bookings via cabo.la's existing rental network, on-the-ground maintenance, cleaning between guests, and quarterly financial reporting. Many owners use the home 4–6 weeks a year and net positive cash flow from the rental program the rest of the time.
