What a Cabo sportfishing charter actually costs
Sportfishing charters in Cabo run $498 to $4,824 all-in — you book the whole boat, not a seat, and the price is the same whether you bring one angler or fill it. Our fleet is 20 boats from 23 to 60 ft carrying up to 10 anglers, each bookable as a half day or a full day out of the Cabo San Lucas marina. Captain and crew, premium rods and reels, a Mexican fishing licence, dock fees, ice, water, bait and all taxes are included in every price you see. Gratuity is not — 15-20% is standard in Cabo and goes straight to the captain and crew.
What's included
Included on every boat
- Professional captain and crew
- Premium rods, reels and tackle
- Mexican fishing license (1)
- Dock and marina fees
- Ice and bottled water
- Fresh or live bait when available
- All taxes
Not included
Gratuity. 15-20% is standard in Cabo and it goes to the captain and crew — the people who put you on fish and clean up after you. Bring it in cash.
Everything else you see priced on this page is all-in. Taxes and dock fees are already carried inside the rate, so nothing gets added at checkout or at the dock.
What you catch
Marlin, dorado, tuna, wahoo, roosterfish
Cabo sits where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific, and the species list reflects it: marlin (striped, blue and black), dorado or mahi-mahi, yellowfin tuna, wahoo and roosterfish.
Billfish are tag-and-release. Marlin get a photo, a tag and the water back — that is the standard across the Cabo fleet, and the reason the fishery is still worth flying for.
Edible catch can be cleaned. Dorado and tuna can be handled for you on the way in. Tell us in advance if you want the catch prepared a particular way so the captain plans for it.
We are not going to promise you a fish, and nobody honest will. What we will do is match the boat, the captain and the trip length to what you are actually targeting.
How it works
Pick a boat, pick a day, the captain does the rest
Pick your boat and trip length
Half day or full day, priced for the whole boat. Bigger boats mean more range, more cockpit room, and more shade for the people who came along to watch.
Hold it with a $500 deposit
On trips over $500 the deposit locks your date and the balance is settled before your trip. Anything at or below $500 is paid in full when you book. Cancel 7+ days out and you get 100% back.
Meet your captain at the marina
Every charter departs the Cabo San Lucas marina. Your captain confirms the exact dock and departure time with you before the trip.
Cancellation
Flexible, in writing
- 7+ days before: 100% refund.
- 72 hours to 7 days before: 50% refund.
- Less than 72 hours before: Non-refundable.
- Weather or safety: if the captain cancels, always a full refund or a free reschedule.
