How a private yacht or boat rental works in Cabo

Every boat here is private, from a small cruiser to a private yacht: you book the whole boat, and only your group is on it. There are 12 to choose from, from the Yamaha 28ft for up to 8 people at $450 to a 110ft yacht. The captain and crew come with the boat, so nobody in your group needs a license.

Pick a boat, a date and one of three start times: Morning at 9:00 AM, Afternoon at 12:30 PM or Sunset at 4:00 PM. Most charters are 3 hours; the Yamaha 28ft is 2. You meet the crew at IGY Marina in Cabo San Lucas, and the usual route takes in the Arch and Lover's Beach with time to swim or snorkel.

Do I need a boating license?

No. Every rental here comes with a captain and crew who run the boat. You choose the plan, they handle the driving, anchoring and safety.

Is a private boat better than a shared tour?

What times can I book?

Every boat has three start times: Morning at 9:00 AM, Afternoon at 12:30 PM and Sunset at 4:00 PM. You pick one when you book, and all charters leave from IGY Marina in Cabo San Lucas. Your captain confirms the exact dock the day of.

What if I need to cancel?

Cancel 7 or more days out for a full refund, or 72 hours to 7 days out for 50%. Inside 72 hours it is non-refundable. If we or the captain cancel for weather or safety reasons, you receive a full refund or a free reschedule, no matter the timing.
