Best luxury resorts in Cabo by guest score

Six of the 13 resorts in the table score 9.8 or higher, and each of the six has more than 100 guest reviews.

Luxury resorts in Cabo San Lucas, on the Corridor and in San José del Cabo

We list 23 luxury resorts in Los Cabos: 10 on the Corridor, 6 in San José del Cabo, 5 in Cabo San Lucas and 2 on the East Cape.

• Cabo San Lucas is the town with the marina and Medano Beach. The luxury hotels here are Waldorf Astoria at Pedregal, The Cape, Nobu Hotel Los Cabos on the Pacific side, Grand Solmar Land's End, and Casa Dorada Los Cabos, which is on Medano Beach.

Luxury resorts in Cabo for less than $600 a night

Five luxury resorts in Los Cabos score 9 or higher and start below $600 a night.

Two of them are in the table: Nobu Hotel Los Cabos from $490 and The Cape from $510, both at 9.6. The other three score below the 9.4 that the table needs. Viceroy Los Cabos is on the beach in San José del Cabo, with a 9.2 from 510 reviews, from $234. Casa Dorada Los Cabos has a 9.0 from 186 reviews, from $180. Grand Solmar Land's End has a 9.2 from 234 reviews, from $562.

Luxury beach resorts in Cabo: where you can swim

Only some Cabo luxury resorts have a beach you can swim from, mostly on the calm Sea of Cortez side.

For calm water, look at the bays on the Corridor. Chileno Bay Resort is on Chileno Bay, and Montage Los Cabos is on Santa Maria Bay. You can snorkel from the beach at both. One&Only Palmilla is on Palmilla Beach, which is calm too. In town, Medano Beach is swimmable, and Casa Dorada is on it.

Waldorf Astoria and Nobu are on the Pacific side, where most beaches are too rough for swimming, so plan on the pools. We keep a list of Cabo hotels on a swimmable beach.

Amenities at Cabo luxury resorts

A spa is the usual amenity at a Cabo luxury resort, and 22 of the 25 luxury resorts we list have one.
