Best Beachfront Hotel Cabo

The most important thing about beachfront hotels in Cabo: not all beaches are created equal. Most Pacific-facing beaches have dangerous riptides and are not safe for swimming. The Sea of Cortez side and protected bays are where you want to be if swimming matters.

Médano Beach is Cabo San Lucas's main swimmable beach — calm water, golden sand, and walkable to downtown. ME Cabo, Casa Dorada, Pueblo Bonito Rosé, and Breathless Cabo all sit directly on Médano.

One&Only Palmilla has the only private swimmable beach on the Tourist Corridor. The calm cove is perfect for swimming and paddleboarding, and the beach service is impeccable.

Montage Los Cabos on Santa Maria Bay offers excellent snorkeling right off the beach — the protected bay has calm, clear water with tropical fish and sea life.

Chileno Bay Resort (Auberge) sits on Chileno Beach, a Blue Flag certified beach with crystal-clear water, lifeguards, and some of the best snorkeling in the area.

Hilton Los Cabos and JW Marriott sit on beautiful beaches along the Corridor, but swimming is not recommended due to strong currents. They compensate with extensive pool complexes.

For the best of both worlds — dramatic Pacific views but swimmable water — consider a resort on Médano Beach (the downtown party scene) or Santa Maria/Chileno Bay (quieter, family-friendly).
