The Tourist Corridor FAQs
What is the Tourist Corridor in Cabo?▾
The Tourist Corridor (or simply "the Corridor") is the 20-mile stretch of Highway 1 between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. It is home to the majority of Cabo's luxury resorts, championship golf courses, and some of the best snorkeling beaches in Los Cabos.
Do I need a car in the Corridor?▾
Yes, a car or arranged transportation is recommended. The Corridor is spread out along the highway and not walkable between destinations. Most villa guests use rental cars, private drivers, or our concierge-arranged transportation.
What are the best beaches in the Corridor?▾
Chileno Bay and Santa Maria Bay are the standouts — both offer calm, clear water ideal for snorkeling and swimming. Palmilla Beach on the San Jose side is another excellent swimmable option.
Is the Corridor better than downtown Cabo?▾
It depends on your priorities. The Corridor is quieter, more resort-oriented, and closer to golf and snorkeling. Downtown Cabo offers walkable nightlife, the Marina, and beach club energy. Many guests split their time between both.
What golf courses are in the Corridor?▾
The Corridor has several championship courses including Cabo del Sol (Nicklaus and Fazio courses), Palmilla Golf Club (Nicklaus), Cabo Colorado (Tiger Woods design), and Querencia. Our concierge arranges tee times at all courses.
