The East Cape is the stretch of coast east and north of San Jose del Cabo, running from Cabo Pulmo to Los Barriles. It is the least developed area of Los Cabos, known for world-class fishing, the Cabo Pulmo coral reef, and untouched beaches.
How do I get to the East Cape from Cabo?▾
The East Cape is a 1.5-2 hour drive from Cabo San Lucas or 1 hour from San Jose del Cabo. The road to Cabo Pulmo is partially unpaved (a 4WD vehicle is recommended). Our concierge arranges private drivers and day trip transportation.
Is Cabo Pulmo worth visiting?▾
Absolutely. Cabo Pulmo is the only living coral reef on the west coast of North America and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Snorkeling here is spectacular — you will see massive schools of fish, sea turtles, rays, and sometimes bull sharks.
