ATV, UTV or 4x4: how the tours differ

The ATV tours run $130 to $168 per person and the UTV tours run $199 to $249, and the Outdoor Adventure 4x4 + Cabo Zipline + Rappel is $149, all plus 16% IVA.

On the Cabo ATV Tour & Desert Adventure, $130 per person, you ride off-road through the Baja wilderness on an automatic ATV along the winding Sandy Snake circuit, past canyons and desert landscapes to 360-degree views from the highest point of the trail.

Its listing calls it beginner-friendly.

On the Off-Road UTV Tour, $199 per person, you drive a modern Polaris UTV off-road through Baja's desert canyons, rocky paths, and dusty trails, with bilingual guides sharing the local flora and fauna along the way.

Outdoor Adventure 4x4 + Cabo Zipline + Rappel, $149 per person: A full combo inside a UNESCO-protected biosphere: ride a circuit of ziplines including one of Mexico's longest, then climb, rappel, cross a suspension bridge, and drive your own 4x4 Polaris over rugged terrain.

The Cabo ATV Tour & Desert Adventure and the Off-Road UTV Tour both end at a private desert ranch 45 minutes north of Cabo San Lucas.

What each ATV, UTV and 4x4 tour includes

Each tour lists what comes with it, and the price follows the list.

Three of the five list protective gear.

• Cabo ATV Tour & Desert Adventure: $130, 3 hours. Includes: ATV ride with automatic vehicle; full-body protective gear; traditional Mexican buffet lunch; beer, infused water, and tequila tasting; round-trip transportation from select hotels.
• Outdoor Adventure 4x4 + Cabo Zipline + Rappel: $149, 3.5 hours. Includes: full zipline circuit; rock wall climbing, rappel, and suspension bridge; 4x4 Polaris off-road driving; handmade quesadillas, salsa, and salad bar; safety gear and professional guides.
• Camels + ATV + Lunch: $168, 3 hours. Includes: camel ride; guided ATV adventure; Mexican buffet lunch; mezcal and tequila tasting; round-trip transportation.
• Off-Road UTV Tour: $199, 3 hours. Includes: guided UTV circuit; full-body protective gear; traditional Mexican buffet lunch; tequila tasting; round-trip transportation from select hotels.
• UTV Off Road + Camel Tour: $249, 3 hours. Includes: UTV circuit with protective gear; camel ride; Mexican buffet lunch with beer and infused water; tequila and mezcal tastings; round-trip transportation.

Who can ride, and who can drive

Riders can come from age 8 on every tour here.

To drive, the listings for the Cabo ATV Tour & Desert Adventure and the Off-Road UTV Tour say "drivers 18+ with license".

The Outdoor Adventure 4x4 + Cabo Zipline + Rappel, the Camels + ATV + Lunch and the UTV Off Road + Camel Tour list the age only, so ask our concierge on WhatsApp who can drive on those.

Tours leave at 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM, and you pick the time when you book.

What you pay on top of the ticket

Checkout adds 16% IVA, so the $130 tour is $150.80 per person.

Tips are not included. The tours suggest 15 to 20% for the guides, in cash on the day.

On the Camels + ATV + Lunch, these are not in the price: ranch entrance fee and damage waiver fee.

ATV, UTV and 4x4 tours follow our tour rule. More than 72 hours before your trip: 75% refund. From 48 to 72 hours before: 50% refund. Under 48 hours, a no-show, arriving late, seasickness or heading back early: no refund. If the port is closed, or the captain or tour team cancels for weather or safety, we move you to a new date. If no new date works for you, you get a full refund. Light rain or choppy water that the captain calls safe is not a cancellation.
